Rising Star is an academic Recognition ceremony Washington holds twice a year.
Our band, under the leadership of Ruth Scott, does a performance at the local Target while the choir helps senior citizens shop.
And, of course, Veteran's Day is a celebration and recognition of the effors of our armed forces.
