(American College Testing) - ACT's
site provides educational services for students and their parents
related to college admissions testing.
College Board On-line - Search for a college, learn about financial aid, register for the SAT and educate yourself about the many aspects oof college planning. Educational Testing Service - Find information about admission to college or graduate school, test registration and test preparation, financial aid planning, and career exploration. SAT Test Prep - By using the answers from the sample test which is provided in the Taking the SAT I Reasoning Test booklet available in the counseling center, the student can get feedback as to their areas of strength and weaknesses as they prepare for the test. It also provides worksheets for the various areas the SAT I tests. Study Skills Self Help Information - This is an extensive set of files of information, prepared by Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, on various aspects of study skills development.
American Universities - This is an alphabetical listing of colleges and universities around the country that have Web pages. Great opportunities to have direct contact with schools of your choice. College Board On-line - Search for a college, learn about financial aid, register for the SAT and educate yourself. College Net - A collection of files that allows students and parents to complete their FAFSA over the computer, find out about colleges, student loans and much more. The College Planning Web Site - Provides students, families and education professionals with information on college selection, admission, financial aid and scholarships. Community College Web - Search for community colleges in the United States, Canade and elsewhere around the world. MOLIS - Providing information about institutional capabilities of historically Black Colleges and Universities and Hispanic-Serving institutions. NCAA - The National Collegiate Athletic Association web site. A must-see for potential college athletes. Princeton Review - This site provides results of a survey in which college students rate the schools they are attending. You can also get guidance on going to college, choosing a career and access to Princeton publications on college financial aid choices. University Links! - Get comprehensive lists of colleges and universities sorted by alphabet, state, and type and other information including college newspapers, student governments, catholic schools, historically black schools, women's colleges, business schools, and more! Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) - Washington students can attend participating colleges and universities throughout the western region of the U.S. and pay less than other out -of - state students. Writing an Admission Essay - A step by step outline of how to write an essay for college admissions.

Our schools have site licenses to utilize the interest surveys, as well as current career, program, trade school and college information. In order to access some of the more valuable sites you will need to log on. Davis students and parents can obtain log-on information from the counseling office. AmeriCorps - Learn about how you can help make America a better place while earning money to help pay for college. Career Mosaic - This site has many links to help students in preparing a resume or cover letter, keeping on top of trends, networking and tracking employment opportunities. Labor Market Information from Washington State Employment Security - This file contains up-to-date labor market information and trends for the State of Washington. Military Career Guide - A great collection of sites which enables you to explore the various military opportunities available after high school. Occupational Outlook Handbook - This federal guide provides detailed information on over 300 occupations that altogether account for 91% of all jobs in the nation. Peace Corps - Information on how to volunteer to help others around the world. Plan for Tomorrow Today -The Washington Workforce Training and Education Coordinating Board publishes this career guide. With links to career assessments and information about training and educational programs available in Washington colleges and trade schools, this is a valuable tool in any career exploration. Using the electronically scored self-assessment will help you to determine your career pathway. U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics - How many jobs will there be for plumbers at the turn of the century?
